I. Ultrasonic water meter principle of work

Ultrasonic water meter to take the time difference method of flow measurement, that is, in the measurement channel (pipe section) of the upstream and downstream respectively installed an ultrasonic transducer for ultrasonic signal transmission and reception of each other.

Due to the superposition of ultrasonic signals and water flow signals, so that the sound waves in the downstream and counter-current propagation speed is different, so the different transducer emitted ultrasonic signals in the water running time is different, by measuring the time difference can be calculated out of the fluid flow rate, and then converted into flow rate, so as to achieve the measurement of flow.

There are two transducers at the top of the flow tube, transducer A transmits an ultrasonic signal to transducer B (downstream), while transducer B transmits an ultrasonic signal to transducer A (counter-current), the ultrasonic signals of downstream and counter-current form a certain time difference in the transmission process.

With a calibrated pipe diameter cross-sectional area and a standard measuring tube length, the flow rate of the meter is calculated by the calculation chip on the integrator.
